Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Imboni Study (“the Platform”). By registering, signing in, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- Students must provide accurate registration information and belong to the academic level and school they select.
- Staff accounts are created or authorized by your school or platform administrators.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must not share passwords or registration numbers with others or impersonate another user.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes.
- Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with system security.
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute content except as permitted for your own learning or official school use.
- Misuse chat, feedback, or reporting features to send spam or false reports.
3. Academic and school content
Marks, attendance, announcements, and other records may be entered by authorized teachers and school staff. While we strive for accuracy, official academic decisions remain the responsibility of your school. The Platform is a tool to support education, not a substitute for official school policies.
4. Payments and registration
Student registration may require payment through supported mobile money or other methods. Fees, refunds, and payment disputes are handled according to your school’s policies and the payment provider’s terms. Access to paid features may be suspended until payment is confirmed.
5. Intellectual property
The Platform software, branding, and curated content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. User-uploaded notes and materials remain subject to your school’s rules; you grant us a limited license to host and display such content solely to operate the service.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control may cause temporary downtime. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
9. Suspension and termination
We or your school may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, security risks, non-payment, or as required by school discipline policies. Upon termination, certain data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Platform operator and your school operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
